Projects in Thu Thiem New Urban Area calling for investment: Central Square and Riverbank Park. The decision has come into agreement by HCMC People’s Committee, started calling for investment. The Department of Planning and Investment will evaluate and advise on the proposed investment policy through BT contracts.
Four main roads projects at Thu Thiem, they are opening for investment. It includes the viaduct section on R1 line (arterial boulevard), crossing the Central Square.
Besides, 15 plots in Thu Thiem New Urban Area is up for auction. Mapping the status of the position will be in process soon. Construction planning would be at the rate of 1/500. And the drawing of the total land plots would help provide more details for the project. Relevant units are already assigned to complete these procedures. This is the basis for determining the starting price for organizing a land auction.
As a result, all these plans help minimizing lost of budget. Attracting potential investors, including foreigners will contributes to construction of Thu Thiem new urban area.
Thu Thiem New Urban Area is 930ha. In addition, the project is on the east bank of Saigon River and about 300m away from the center of District 1. This is the modern and expanding center of Ho Chi Minh City with the functions of finance, culture, trade, high-class services, leisure and entertainment… Thu Thiem New urban area is on its way to become a hot spot in Southeast Asia.
In addition, the City People’s Committee agreed to temporarily not deploy the selection of investors to implement the project. The financial center in two land lots denoted from 1-7 and 1-11 in Thu Thiem New Urban Area. The city will have a plan to auction land use rights to select a unit capable of implementing the project. Previously, the HCM City Development Project into an international financial center should be approved by the Standing Committee of the Party Committee.
